How much does a terrain walk cost, and what do you do on it?
The walk itself is a short, focused visit, usually under an hour, where we read the fall, the water, and the soil with you. We charge nothing for the initial route conversation on the phone. Once we stand on the ground together, we walk the full lay of the property and lay out options before you commit to any plan or cost. You can always book a call first to make sure your idea is a good fit.
How far ahead do I need to book for a grading or planting season?
Good ground does not like to be rushed. For a full grade and plant project we usually start the mapping four to eight weeks ahead so the survey, the plan, and the calendar all line up with the growing window. For smaller jobs like a native bed refresh we can often slot you in the same week. The fastest way to feel the schedule is to call the office and we will give you an honest read of the next open day.
Can you build and install the work, or just draw the plans?
We do both. Back Country Landscape LLC can hand you a clean plan for your own contractor, or we can take the job from first survey through grading, planting, and the maintenance seasons that follow. Many owners start with a plan and later hand us the whole route when they see how the calendar keeps the place true. Either way the map you approve is the map the crew builds to.
